I am an experienced and accredited Psychodynamic Counsellor and Psychotherapist working with adults and young people who have issues such as relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, abuse, illness, bereavement, addiction, eating disorders and self-harm.
I provide a safe, consistent space in which to explore your problems. With a warm approach, I will listen to you in a non-judgemental way. I aim to help you make sense of your feelings, your past and current difficulties, enabling greater self-awareness, so change becomes possible.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and abide by its Code of Practice and standards which focuses on client confidentiality and its ethical framework. Having trained intensively for four and a half years for a Post-graduate Diploma and Masters degree in Contemporary Therapeutic Counselling at the University of Hertfordshire.
I use my expertise to write workshops and am currently delivering them on Transference and Countertransference for trainee and qualified therapists at the WPF Therapy institute.
I also continue to develop my expertise through professional development in areas such as the impact of child sexual abuse on adult survivors and their relationships, working with self-harm, the developmental origins of anxiety disorders, and working with the addictive process.
My counselling experience includes open-ended psychotherapy and fixed-term counselling at my private practice and charitable counselling services in Hertfordshire and London.
I provide open-ended and fixed-term therapy to men and women of all ages and backgrounds.
