I am a highly experienced and accredited Psychodynamic Counsellor and Psychotherapist working with adults and young people who have issues such as relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, abuse, illness, bereavement, addiction, eating disorders and self-harm.
I provide a safe, consistent space in which to explore your problems. With a warm approach, I will listen to you in a non-judgemental way. I aim to help you make sense of your feelings, your past and current difficulties, enabling greater self-awareness, so change becomes possible.
I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and abide by its Code of Practice and standards which focuses on client confidentiality and its ethical framework. I have trained intensively for four and a half years for a Post-graduate Diploma and Masters degree in Contemporary Therapeutic Counselling at the University of Hertfordshire.
I use my expertise to write workshops and am currently delivering them on Transference and Countertransference for trainee and qualified therapists at the WPF Therapy institute.
I also continue to develop my expertise through professional development in areas such as the impact of child sexual abuse on adult survivors and their relationships, working with self-harm, the developmental origins of anxiety disorders, and working with the addictive process.
My counselling experience includes open-ended psychotherapy and fixed-term counselling at my private practice and charitable counselling services in Hertfordshire and London.
I provide open-ended and fixed-term therapy to men and women of all ages and backgrounds from sixteen years of age upwards.
